PREVENTING A LONG TERM SUBFLOOR DAMAGE
Free Weights Flooring – Weight training is an extremely popular type of activity in the gym and it is inevitable weights will be dropped on the floor. Repeated heavy impacts can cause long-term damage to a sub-floor if not adequately protected. It is therefore important to ensure the correct gym flooring is installed in a free weights area. At TVS we offer a range of products and systems designed to absorb impact shock. These include:
- Heavy-duty interlocking rubber tiles at 30mm and 40mm thicknesses
- Impact protection slabs up to 80mm thicknesses
- Shock absorbing elastic layers
- Polyurethane bonded rubber flooring in a range of thicknesses and colours
- Plywood and self leveling materials
Some of the gyms require a robust flooring solution for the weightlifting area. To fulfil this requirement, TVS can supply shock attenuating rubber floor tiles made from a mixture of black recycled rybber granules bound tgether with a polyurethane resin and a coloured EPDM granule added to the wear layer.
This product offers extra protection to the substrate, which is particularly important in busy weightlifting areas where weights are dropped frequently.
The tiles are simple to install, require little to no maintenance and interlock together with pre-inserted plastic dowels to create a stable performance surface for weightlifting activities to take place safely.
